Mark inherited a lovely traditional wood dining set from his grandparents and we’ve had to store it for the past year for lack of space. So when house hunting we specifically wanted a place with a dining room. The only thing with our lovely traditional dining set is just that – its very traditional – and both of ours styles tend to be a little more contemporary and eclectic. Easy solution? Centre pieces! Succulents have been super popular lately and without the floral blooms they have the clean, contemporary feel we need to help balance the room. Originally I had seen glass cloche jars that were fab, but they too are still in the traditional vein. Instead, I choose a set of three rectangular jars that would work much better to offset the traditional and bring in the contemporary.
